Sunday School  Make The Connection... Why is Sunday School Important? The church is mandated to disciple people.  Discipleship best occurs in a small group setting, our Sunday School.   Sunday School offers 2 things every person needs to be a disciple.  * Instruction ~ The WORD of God * Individuals ~ The PEOPLE of God “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6). Therefore, to Disciple people we must teach... * The whole counsel of God ~ the Way * Doctrine and apologetics ~ the Truth * Life application ~ The Life Discipleship is not just teaching “all things that I have commanded you”, but “teaching them to obey all things that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:20) It’s all about relationships… Ministry best takes place within the context of relationships Relationships best take place within the context of small groups.
